They have six grown children and one beautiful granddaughter. As well as loving her family and work - Wendy loves to swim, walk along the beach and do lots of yoga, smiling and laughing! 'Roger and I recently returned from a fabulous holiday in New Zealand tramping through the beech forests, climbing snow capped mountains, swimming in glacial lakes and being totally captivated by the amazing scenery of the South Island. We spent a few days in Siberia, a remote valley where we were flown in by a small Cessna and spent the night in one of the Conservation Huts. The silence under the starry night was beautiful and in the morning we walked out along a track down the valley, stopping along the way to swim in the icy river to cool off. Every day was an adventure - we walked the Routeburn Track and I did the Rockburn Hut Track on my own. After three hours of walking without seeing a soul I came to the hut and there were a group of kayakers who had come from upriver. They were about to enter into the Rockburn Chasm ... I seized the opportunity and asked if they had a spare seat available and, sure enough, within five minutes I was paddling into this amazing Chas. Talk about timing! We travelled on to Arrowtown and can highly recommend a local cinema which consists of comfy lounge chairs and 'Art Films' and then dinner at Saffron - a delightful restaurant around the corner. To finish our holiday we completed a two day walk to Saddle Hut in the Arthurs pass area which was breathtaking. And back home now to our sub tropical paradise here in Coffs Harbour - refreshed and relaxed.
