BEAUTIFUL YOGA RETREATS - JULY AND AUGUST 2008

This relaxing and rejuvenating retreat will be held at a beautiful private estate, the Orara Valley House, in a secluded valley behind Coffs Harbour (twenty minutes drive).

Here are just some of the comments from the first retreat held last month.

‘What a sensational weekend! Exactly what the mind and body needed. A combination of the perfect setting, great people and an incredible instructor. Thank you for everything Wendy! I am grateful for the Dru Yoga weekend. Thanks again.’  C.C – Coffs Harbour

‘Thank you for this very special time. I arrived tired and stressed and am leaving rejuvenated and relaxed! I am grateful for the love, friendship and good food; and beautiful and safe environment I have enjoyed. I hope you will facilitate many more.’  M.A. – Coffs Harbour

All inclusive: luxury accommodation, peaceful surroundings and delicious food - yoga movements, relaxation and Dru treatments.

There will be time for movement, time for talking, time for laughter, time for silence, and time for just being, soaking up the fresh air, the quiet and the natural beauty.

The weekend will include seven yoga classes (movements and relaxation) in a relaxed and safe environment, mandala drawing, a beautiful meditative walk in the bush (optional), and a shared Dru treatment (like a very gentle relaxing massage - with clothes on), meditation and music.

All yoga mats and blankets are provided so you just need to pack your clothes and toiletries and bring yourself! A complete list of what to bring and a timetable of the weekend will be sent out upon receipt of the booking fee.

There are ten places at each retreat at only $450 per person which includes shared accommodation, meals and all sessions. Reservations will be held for one week only. To secure your place the non refundable booking fee of $200 can be made by cheque or money order made payable to Wendy Haynes and posted to PO Box 688, Coffs Harbour, NSW 2450 or if it is more convenient a direct deposit can be paid into my account. Please email for details. Thank you. The balance of $250 is payable ten days before the retreat.

The retreat in July will focus on the Salutation to the Four Directions which is described as being a panacea for many of the challenges we encounter in our lives. It is particularly effective in transforming painful or counter productive emotions into their positive counterparts. This is a simple yet powerful movement that is uplifting and strengthening: July 25th – 27th (4 places already booked – 6 available)

The retreat in August will focus on the Salutation to the Earth - another very beautiful and powerful sequence: August 15th – 17th (Co-facilitated by my Dru Yoga colleague and dear friend Margot Smith from Victoria).

Both retreats start at 5.30pm on the Friday and complete at 2pm on the Sunday although you would be most welcome to take an afternoon walk on the property to have a perfect end to a beautiful weekend.

If you would like to make a booking, or organise a midweek retreat; or if you have any questions please call me on 02 66521427. Would you please forward this information onto anyone who you know who may be interested. Thank you.

Many blessings of love, laughter, peace and happiness.

Wendy

‘Thank you so much for an unforgettable weekend. Sometimes in life you get so caught up in the everyday hum drum that you forget to stop and appreciate the little things. This weekend has reminded me to stop and look around, to be thankful for those little things and to appreciate just being. A combination of great food, company and a fantastic leader and mentor have made this weekend one that will remain in my memory forever. Thank you so much Wendy for your guidance, calmness and sense of peacefulness. J.D – Coffs Harbour

About Wendy Haynes: Over twenty years ago Wendy started teaching Yoga while living out in the country and then when she moved to Coffs Harbour she began teaching relaxation techniques with children from kindergarten to year six in the primary schools around the Coffs Harbour area. She has always loved movement, theatre, dance and meditation. Wendy's civil celebrancy business grew and while she kept up her private yoga practice she no longer taught classes. Currently, Wendy is in her third year of Dru Yoga teacher training and has recently passed her assessment with glowing results to offer weekly Dru yoga classes at her home overlooking the harbour. Wendy has also practiced Awareness through Movement, using the Feldenkrais technique, which has influenced her style of teaching.

"I have always had a passion for wellbeing and since discovering the movements and stillness of Dru have found my heart opened in so many ways by the graceful and fun spirit of this form. I love Dru Yoga!" - Wendy
