Australia - Marriage celebrants authorised by the Australian Government are entitled to charge for any services that they provide. Each celebrant sets their own fees so you will need to discuss this with your celebrant.

Ensure you reach an agreement on the fees before asking the celebrant to hold the date. Most will require a booking fee to hold your date and time of wedding in their diary. Find out what charges are non-refundable. 

For a NSW registry office wedding on Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday (9am-5pm) the cost is $AU$350 (Price correct as at 7.9.07).
