I am a celebrant on the Gold Coast and my husband and I are celebrating our 27 yr wedding anniv. this June by renewing our vows. What's our secret? If only I knew!! I guess be best friends, always talk about everything, have no secrets (even if another guy/girl made a pass at you today - go home and share it)keep a sense of humour, continauly tell eachother you love them and really mean it, fill each day with little surprises of love and warmth ( a little note on his windscreen maybe), laugh from your soul and share eachother dreams. When we met we wud laugh that we dreamed of sitting together when we were 90, on our front porch, in our rocking chairs looking back on the wonderful life we have had together, we still share this dream. I feel like every day when I get up, my journey is just beginning as there is so much I still want to share and experience. Life is a true gift and I am blessed to be here with such wonderful family and friends. I was also so blessed to have met the most wonderful man, who has helped me raise 3 amazing children. I want to help everyone I meet, both as a celebrant, friend and even a stranger in the supermarket,to really appreciate life and to get the most out of it. I love being a celebrant and sharing special moments in other's lives. I am also a volunteer Grief and Loss Counsellor at Paradise Kids and counsel children 6-11 yrs and find this work so satisfying. I have 2 phrases I live by - LOVE DREAM BELIEVE and Life is a Gift, celebrate every special moment.

I love that you wrote about recipes for loving. I am a wedding and event planner, and I enjoy encouraging couples to love one another. I'd like to share an article, with you and your readers, that I wrote for all newlyweds, second chance weddings and blended families included. You may obtain a complimentary copy of it from my website. It is a "must read" and a tool to use for leveraging the love in your relationships. Please feel free to refer others to my site for their complimentary copies.

Hi everyone, as I mentioned in my email in April,we had our big gig on Sat 12 June - what an amazing night. My son's 21st, my 50th and our 27 yr wed anniversary and we renewed our vows, included a sand blending and involved our children. A fellow friend and celebrant performed the ceremony. We had about 90 attend. My husband and I had been having secret dancing lessons so after the ceremony we did the dirty dancing routine to 'I've had the time of my life" (just like in the movie but didnt quite do the famous lift at the end)! Just live every day as if it is your first, last and best day on earth.

I have after many years finally married the love of my life, my gorgeous man. Love is kind, love isnt selfish and does not discriminate and my husband loves me for the man I am.
