A Tea Party for Hen's Night Out

A Tea Party for Hen's Night OutKitchen tea or high noon teas are taking off. These events are often a more ‘civilised’ version of the traditional hen’s night out and, the good news is, they don’t have to be boring!

It usually involves afternoon tea, at a private home or in a restaurant, preceded or followed by games and present giving. My daughter held hers at the Hyatt Hotel in Canberra and it was truly lush, savoury and sweet treats galore.

We met in the leafy, green park opposite the hotel and had champagne, strawberries, blueberries, macadamia’s and cashew nibblies. French lawn boules had us laughing in the dappled light as we out hit each other’s balls out of sight! Competition was rife as was the celebration of the champions of the occasion.

All good fun and a great way to get to know each other.  We continued on at one of the local café bars until supper where we parted having had a wonderful afternoon.  ... read more
