Blessingway Ceremony

Ayesha's blessingway ceremony, held midweek, was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the miracle of pregnancy. Blessingway ceremonies create a sacred space to honour and nurture the woman who is going to give birth.  Ayesha emailed me the next morning saying how she felt totally blessed, nurtured, nourished and connected to those who came. What a gift for her as she enters the portal of motherhood a second time. I had a lot of fun connecting with her eleven year old daughter and watching her blossom in the company of seven wise women. One of the highlights of this ceremony was each woman, including the young girl, shared what they loved and appreciated about their mother and their grandmother. I invited the women to start by introducing themselves in the following way, "I am Wendy, daughter of Barbara, who was the daughter of Bessie'.
