Gibraltor Ranges National Park

Roger and I headed up to the Gibraltor Ranges National Park, turning left at Grafton and heading north west for nearly a 100kms. The day was overcast, yet bright as we travelled through farmlands with grazing cattle and long dry grass waving in the wind. Slowly heading up in to the ranges, the long stony river on our right reminded me of travelling through northern India. For anyone who read the captivating book, Where the Wild Things Are, illustrated by Maurice Sendak, to their children you will know that he was different, insightful and also funny. Happy Australia Day

A cup of tea, scones, jam and cream were on the menu for afternoon tea with mum and dad for Australia Day... we were dry and out of the pouring rain, that was important!
